Shinrin-yoku Heart Centered Reiki

What is Shinrin-yoku Reiki

Shinrin-yoku is a Japanese phrase meaning forest bathing (Shinrin means forest and yoku means bath). Forest bathing literally means to bathe in the forest atmosphere or taking in the forest through our senses.

Shinrin-yoku originated in Japan and is now prescribed by doctors across many parts of the world. Shinrin-yoku was developed as an antidote to the fatigue associated with our technology focussed world.

Heart Centred Reiki is located in Black Range, on the eastern side of the craggy Grampians mountain range between Great Western and Stawell. We are not forested, but the purpose of forest bathing is to consciously connect to the natural environment and we have that in spades.

You can opt for a garden Reiki or if you want to enjoy Shinrin-Yoku, take up to an hour to wander aimlessly and then an outdoor Reiki experience

Don’t Forget.

  • Leave your phone in the car
  • Leave your expectations behind
  • Wander aimlessly, allowing your body to take you wherever it wants
  • Pause from time to time, to look more closely at a leaf or a feather. Notice the sensation of the ground beneath your feet
  • Sit on a log and listen to the sounds around you. Watch the birds and other animals when they become used to your presence
