Compassionate Support During Pet Loss
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of life’s most heartbreaking experiences. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve walked this path before, the journey never gets easier. The grief, loneliness and sometimes guilt and can feel overwhelming.
As an End of Life Pet Doula, I provide a safe place to land, bridging the gap where your veterinarian, family and friends may not go. I help you navigate difficult decisions with compassion while supporting you, your family, and, most importantly, your cherished pet.
I’m here to offer compassion, clarity, and care—for you, your family, and your cherished companion.
What is an End Of Life Pet Doula?

End of Life Pet Doula’s can step into the gaps where your Vet, your friends, and loved ones cannot go.
As an end of life pet doula, I provide non-medical, emotional, and practical support to pets and their families leading up to, and during the final stages of a pet’s life, ensuring a peaceful, dignified, loving, and meaningful farewell.
The support is tailored to your needs, with an understanding of your values, and as it is needed. We can continue hold space for you from the time you start to grieve your pet’s inability to do things they once loved, to creating a memorial, and supporting your own self-care after their death.
What is an End Of Life Pet Doula?
An end of life pet doula, provides non-medical, emotional, and practical support to pets and their families leading up to, and during the final stages of a pet’s life, ensuring a peaceful, dignified, loving, and meaningful farewell.
My support is tailored to your needs, aligned with your values, and available as it is needed. We can continue hold space for you from the time you start to grieve your pet’s inability to do things they once loved doing, to creating a memorial, and supporting your own self-care after their death.
My role can begin as early as when you start to notice that your pet is ageing and can no longer enjoy some of the activities they once loved, or it can be right at the end of life. The grief, the questions, the planning can happen at any time in that continuum, keeping in mind that pets do not always die of illness and age. Some die completely unexpectedly through road trauma, garden poisons, accidents. No matter if the end of life was expected or not, we will hold space for you and your family.

About Noelene Gration
My journey to becoming a end of life pet doula is full of twists and turns, but began with a deep, profound love of all animals, experiencing the death of many beloved pets over many years. In my early career, I worked with children and adults who were living and dying with terminal illness. When classes were held in my small regional town, I thought about becoming a Death Doula for people, but in the end did not.
I found myself working in the pet death space a lot of my time. As an Animal Communicator and Energy Healer for Animals, I am approached over and over by clients asking for help to ease the transition of their pet facing death with energy healing or to communicate with a pet to see what they felt about their transition. or to communicate with an animal who has died to ask questions family members left behind were desperate to be answered.
However, as soon as I heard that End of Life Pet Doula’s or Death Doula’s for Pets existed, I was excited to learn the skills and begin practicing them with people and their pets where I could offer a soft place to land.
My ability to communicate with animals and as an Energy Healer for people and animals is not part of what I do as a Doula, but it certainly is a skill that can be included in your offering if it feels useful.
I offer a safe and sacred space to honour your pet’s transition. My approach is rooted in respect, love, and a deep commitment to understanding the needs of both you and your pet —whether it’s creating a peaceful environment, or simply holding space for your emotions.
Together, we can navigate this journey with grace, ensuring that your pet’s final moments are filled with comfort, dignity, and love. You are not alone in this process—I am your safe place to land.

A Healing Presence
Beyond my role as an End of Life Pet Doula, I offer additional skills to support both pets and caregivers through transition and grief.
Animal Communication
My skills as an Animal Communicator, can help us to develop:
- A care plan for your pet
- A bucket list of your pets favourite activities, food, places to help you make meaningful memories.(these can also be included in the care plan)
- A Care / Transition plan that includes their wishes about transition.
I can also connect with a departed pet to share messages between you and them. Many people feel guilt or uncertainty about a pets death and this communication can be liberating for them.
Energy Healing
Energy healing modalities that can help the whole family including pets include Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique, Scalar Wave Therapy (and more). They all provide comfort and peace to animals leading up to and during their final moments.and family members who are grieving and in emotional pain.
Don’t forget that your other pets may feel grief after the death of one of its mates and energy healing is wonderful to help them.
