This is Rup – what a magnificent horse!
Rup was a champion until a traumatic injury literally stopped him in his tracks. With a pretty bleak future ahead, Rup was incredibly lucky to come to the attention of Steph who quickly adopted him.
Communicating with Rup was one of the most profound experiences that I have ever had. I start my communication with a meditation ensuring that I am grounded and neutral before I start. I then introduce myself and ask the animal about their favourite things. I barely had time to introduce myself when I was shown two huge Chestnut horses galloping neck and neck towards me. I could feel the excitement, the power, the exhilaration of this run and not knowing at this point that Rup was a racehorse, I knew that he had raced and that he had loved it. I was so fortunate to feel how much he loved it. Then I realized that neither horse had harness or rider, maybe they just loved to run as fast as they could in the wild…
He also showed me other horses that he knew, 2 kangaroos in the paddock and Foxie, a paddock mate of Rup’s who had died suddenly and tragically a few months before. I felt a sense of sadness and grief – the emotions that Rup was feeling when showing me Foxie.
The practice of animal communication is changing me daily. Teaching me humility and patience and increasing my capacity for love!
